🧳 What Visitors Need to Know
Nevada — especially Las Vegas — is the world capital of legal cannabis tourism. Dispensaries on and near the Strip are open 24 hours and compete intensely for your business. Product quality is excellent and prices are competitive. Consumption lounges operate in Las Vegas. You can possess 1 oz and deliver to your hotel room. The one catch: can't consume in your hotel room (technically) or in public — but enforcement on private property is essentially nonexistent. The cannabis experience in Vegas is genuinely world-class.
📍 Major Cities
Las Vegas has taken cannabis tourism to another level. Planet 13 near the Strip is the world's largest cannabis dispensary — over 112,000 square feet with a consumption lounge. Reef Dispensaries, Essence, and dozens of others compete on the Strip and nearby. Delivery to your hotel room is available (though technically hotels may prohibit consumption). Consumption lounges allow on-site use. The selection is enormous — thousands of products. Staff are professional and tourist-experienced. This is the gold standard for cannabis retail anywhere on earth.
Reno has a strong dispensary scene serving the northern Nevada population and Tahoe tourists. Several large, well-stocked dispensaries. Prices are slightly lower than Vegas. The Reno cannabis culture is more locals-focused and less touristy. Great option if you're skiing Tahoe or exploring northern Nevada.
Henderson has several dispensaries that locals prefer over the tourist-priced Strip locations. Slightly lower prices, shorter lines, same high-quality product. If you're staying in Henderson or want to avoid Strip markup, Henderson dispensaries are a great choice.

📋 Legal Background
Nevada voters approved recreational cannabis via Question 2 in November 2016, with sales beginning July 2017. Adults 21+ may possess up to 1 oz of flower and 3.5g of concentrate. Home cultivation of up to 6 plants is legal in areas 25+ miles from a licensed dispensary. The Cannabis Compliance Board oversees the industry. Social consumption venues (lounges) are licensed in Clark County.
